| You will meet the various forms of the German indefinite article; memorize these forms. In addition, you will be introduced to the German direct object; be sure you understand the difference between direct objects and predicate nominatives. You learned to decline the definite article ("the" in English) in Chapter 2. Now here are the forms of the indefinite article ("a," "an" in English): |

| When ever we find one word that keep escaping from our head, we have take a moment to think about it. The first question that we have to answer is: Why I can not remember it?!!! Taking a little time for that is going to help a lot. If we can find the reason and the answer for that particulate word, it is going to open our way. The first one always is the hardest, but we have to push as much as we can. But at the same time we should be flexible to try with the next one, if this one is going to give you hard time. Then keep trying any time that you find such a word. The main question: Why I can not learn, memorize that word? You will find the answer, because there is only you that can do it. |

| The following words are mostly derived from Latin and Greek roots. Apart from some spelling differences, some endings and pronunciation they are almost identical with their English cognates. (NB ß = ss). Write the cognates of fifteen words. |
